New Autumn Makeup Colors and TrendsYou’ve chosen to get married in the Fall, because of the crisp cool air, the vibrant colors you can use as a natural backdrop to your pictures, and the warm tones you can choose for your colors.  It’s time to ditch your summer makeup for a more vibrant and dewey look.

Red lipsticks are timeless; always elegant.  But don’t be afraid to try plums, burgundys, browns, and oranges.  Peach and apricots are big colors for this Fall and work well with most skin tones, for that subtle, yet bold look, and will go well with light makeup or dark and will compliment any bridal look. Mattes are still going strong but glosses are becoming more popular than ever.  Try adding a coat of gloss on top of your new favorite shade for some sparkle and glam.  Glitter is big–all over!  Shimmery eyeshadows, blushes, or try adding a touch of sparkle to highlight your cheek bones.

Heavy eyeliner, bold eyes, is the look for Fall.  Use eyeliner to define your eyes. The smokey eye is still a favorite for any special occasion.  For a dramatic look, try sweeping your eyelid and along your lower lid, with a deeper pink shade and tone down the rest of your makeup.  You can also use a highlighter to brighten the inner corner of your eye.  Apply several coats of mascara to get “spider lashes” to make your eyes pop.

Use rich lotions and moisturizers to keep your skin hydrated before applying your foundation and blush, to get that dewey look which is so popular this Fall.  Don’t forget to apply warm blush on your cheeks to get that flushed look.

Consider highlighting or lowlighting your hair to add a depth of dimension or warmth to your face, to pull your look together.

Be sure to experiment with any new colors or techniques prior to your Wedding Day.
